You’ll spend more time looking at your photographer on your wedding day than almost anyone else.
They’ll be by your side when you’re saying your vows, when you’re feeling
butterflies, when you’re laughing so hard you cry during the speeches, when you’re
sharing an intimate look with your partner.
So you deserve a photographer who you feel completely relaxed with.
Who takes the time to get to know you and your love story.
Who helps you feel at ease in front of the camera.
Who is quietly working behind the scenes to make your wedding run smoothly.
Who is thrilled to stand by your side for the whole day and make it one of the best
experiences of your life.
If this sounds like the kind of Cotswold wedding photographer you’re looking for, I’d love to meet you.
Your Cotswold wedding photographer
telling the story of your special day with love, warmth and authenticity
meet Lisa:
The most important part of choosing the right photographer for you
(other than liking their work!) is to make sure you like them as a person and that you feel comfortable with them.
This often comes from knowledge and familiarity – so here are some facts to help
you get to know me better.
I was born and raised in Rome, Italy, the single child of a charming Italian man and a
gentle English woman. I have a love of rolling British landscapes and the passionate
Italian way of living running through my veins.
Add to this my love of romance novels, (which came from becoming hooked on the Twilight series as a teenager), and it was inevitable I would find a career where I could celebrate romance and creativity every day.
For over a decade, the UK has been my home, most recently at the foot of the
Cotswolds hills. I live with my little family – Felix, the husband, and Henry, the cat.
(I promise the order is correct – no typo there!)
I started photographing weddings in 2014 as an assistant for a local photography studio,
and set up Ampersand Photography in 2022.
I thrive on heart-warming stories of people finding love in this crazy world, and my
mission is to preserve them so they can be an active part of your family's history.
Anyway, now that the deep stuff is out of the way, here are some more practical and fun tid-bits that you NEED to know about me...
- I've been a city girl most of my life but truly feel like I belong among wildflowers and woodland trees.
- I’m a lover of art in most of its forms, from music (indie and folk rock are my go tos, as well as being an OG Swifty), to architecture and anything in between.
- I love reading fiction and when I get lost in a story I obsess over it! My favourite genres are romantasy and period romance novels – love stories are always on my mind.
- A true Enneagram #2: I am extremely loving and maternal and often put others' needs before my own, a true helper for better or for worse.
- My soul will forever be drawn to witchy things and the dark academia aesthetic (which you may have picked up on if you’ve seen my stand at a fair).
Authentic expression:
my values as a wedding photographer
my approach:
cosy, relaxed, romantic
I’m here to immortalise a moment in time in the most truthful way, highlighting all the emotions and moments of your wedding day.
inclusivity:
creativity based in reality:
because everyone has the right to be celebrated, seen and represented. I’m an LGBTQIA+ ally and proudly capture love in all its forms.
my photography is a blend of real-life moments with breathtaking, romantic portraits you can’t stop looking at.
I capture your wedding with the perfect blend of authenticity and artistry.
You get candid, reportage-style photos that tell the story of your day as it unfolds, alongside romantic, swoon-worthy portraits that centre you as the main characters in your beautiful love story.
Lots of couples don’t have experience at being in front of the camera, so I take the time to learn what makes you feel at ease, helping you get the most from your photos.
I also love being behind the scenes at your wedding, quietly ensuring things happen as they need to and solving any problems – it’s the Enneagram #2 in me.
So as well as taking photos you’ll also find me bustling dresses, sharing dance steps, driving home to get a notebook to replace a missing guest book (true story) – whatever you need to help your wedding day run smoothly.
My couples often say I feel like a friend they’ve known for years, that they can be themselves around me, and that I helped them with all elements of their wedding. Hearing this makes my heart very happy, because I genuinely care about each and every couple I get to work with.

the story behind
ampersand

You might know ampersand as the word for the & symbol.
But to me it means much more.
It's part of MY LOVE STORY and where it all started.
It was the beginning of autumn, with a cool breeze in the air and crunchy leaves under
foot. It was the early days of our relationship, and Felix and I had been talking about the
AMPERSAND and all its fun facts. (Random? Yes... Super geeky? I'm with you!)
It was the strangest, most peaceful moment and I felt that urge to say “I love you” for the
first time. As the impulse took me I called out his name.
He looked back and… I froze.
All I could say was “ampersand” in the quietest voice.
As I said it, I wasn’t sure that was what I meant to say, but when I did, he smiled with a
look of understanding. With the most loving tone and look in his eyes he said…
"Ampersand you too".
That was the moment in which that little word held so much more than it used to.
So much joy, kindness, importance, promise, and most of all, LOVE.
That's what AMPERSAND means to me.
It means being together.
It’s the one thing that connects two entities to be one.
It’s the love between you & me.
It’s the thing that creates an us.
This is what I strive to infuse in my photography and your documented memories.
It's that feeling of pure love, happiness and tenderness that only being with your person can bring.
Where your true emotions shine, and create images that document the moments and
feelings that persist through time.
This is my love story and I can't wait to hear yours!
Kind words from
Mel & Steve
Lisa is amazing, just meeting her there's something different, engaging, caring and then working with her, by the end of the day not only did we have a great experience and fabulous photos but a new friend.
Lisa's approach was calm, friendly, engaging, caring, but firm when needed.
All the guests commented too on how good she was.
If you're considering Lisa as your photographer you don't need to consider anyone else, she's amazing.
