frequently asked questions

How would you describe your photography style?

I’d describe my style as relaxed, warm, and documentary-led! My main goal is to let your day unfold naturally so you can actually enjoy it. While I’ll jump in with gentle direction for couple portraits and family group shots, I focus mostly on capturing candid, unposed moments, real emotions, and the atmospheric details that make your day unique.

Do you shoot Destination Weddings?

Yes! As an Italian native who speaks fluent Italian, I specialize in destination weddings across Italy, but I am always up for shooting right across Europe and beyond.

Do you travel for photoshoots and weddings?

Absolutely! I love traveling for photoshoots and weddings wherever your love story takes us. Just let me know where you're planning your big day or session, and we can figure out the logistics together.

Travel beyond 40 miles from Dursley, Gloucestershire is charged at £0.45 per mile.

What should we wear for our portrait session?

There are no hard-and-fast rules here - the main goal is that you feel comfortable, confident, and like you. Wear something that fits the vibe you want for your photos. As a general rule, I recommend coordinating tones with anyone else in the frame rather than completely matching - think complementary colour families so you look cohesive together.

Choosing the right photographer for your wedding day is a big decision, and I want you to feel entirely comfortable every step of the way. Here, you'll find answers to common questions about my wedding photography services across the UK and Italy—covering everything from how we work together on the day to when you'll receive your final gallery and fine art album.

style & approach

booking & logistics

We want to book you for our wedding. What do we do now?

Reach out! If you already have your date and venue locked in, let me know right away so I can check availability. If you don’t have a date set yet, get in touch anyway - I’m always happy to help with ideas and recommendations. Once we chat through your details, I’ll send over an official contract and invoice. A £300 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking to secure your date. The final balance is due 60 days before the big day, and payment plans are available if you’d like to spread the cost!

I want to book a portrait or branding session. How does it work?

The best way to start is by reaching out through my contact page or dropping me an email to book a quick consultation. We’ll jump on a call to talk through your vision, potential dates, locations, and any inspiration you have in mind!

Can we create a bespoke Photography Package?

Of course! No two couples or sessions are identical, and my approach isn't one-size-fits-all either. If you have unique plans or specific hours in mind, get in touch and we’ll build a custom package that gives you exactly what you need.

Are you insured?

Yes, absolutely! I carry full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance. If your venue requires a copy of my insurance certificate for their records, just let me know and I’ll happily send it over.

What equipment do you bring, and do you carry backups?

I shoot with dual-card slot professional cameras, meaning every single photo is saved to two separate memory cards simultaneously the moment I take it. I also bring backup camera bodies, extra lenses, flashes, and plenty of batteries so gear failure will never compromise your big day.

the big day & preparation

Will we have a chance to meet before the wedding or shoot?

Yes! I love meeting in person whenever possible - it’s the absolute best way to build chemistry and get comfortable with each other before the shoot. If location or schedules make an in-person meet-up tricky, no worries at all: we can easily connect over a WhatsApp or Google Meet video call.

Do you work with a second photographer?

For portrait and branding shoots, it’s usually just me. For weddings, I work both solo and with a second shooter, depending on the package you choose and what your day requires. I’m connected with an amazing network of local photographers, so if your wedding calls for extra coverage, I can easily bring a trusted second photographer along.

Do you take formal family group shots?

Yes, of course! While my core focus is candid moments, I know how important family photos are to you (and your parents!). Before the wedding, we’ll put together a small, streamlined shot list of your key group combinations so we can zip through them quickly and get you back to enjoying your reception.

Can I extend coverage on the day of the wedding?

Definitely. If you've booked a half-day or bespoke package and realize on the day that you'd love me to stay longer, just let me know as early as possible. Additional coverage is £120 per hour, and I'll send over a separate invoice for the extra time after the wedding.

Do we need to provide you with a meal at our Wedding?

Hot meals are never strictly required, but they are always endlessly appreciated! I usually take my break while you and your guests sit down for the wedding breakfast (nobody wants photos of themselves eating anyway!). If a hot meal isn't provided, just let me know in advance so I can bring my own food or grab something nearby - this may require me to step away for up to 1 hour, but I'll make sure I'm refreshed and ready before your evening events kick off.

What happens if you are ill or there's a personal emergency?

While it’s rare, it’s always good to be prepared! For weddings, I’m part of a tight-knit network of professional photographers and will arrange for an equally talented, trusted colleague to step in and cover your day seamlessly. Time permitting, I will always endeavour to give you the option to go ahead with my replacement or cancel your booking, though this may not be possible for last-minute emergencies. For portrait or branding sessions, we will simply reschedule for the earliest date that works for you.

delivery, products & preparation

How long until we see our Photos?

You’ll receive a preview gallery of highlights within 3 working days! Full galleries take roughly 6 to 8 weeks for portrait sessions and 8 to 12 weeks for weddings, depending on the season.

How many pictures will we receive and how?

My goal is to tell your story fully, so I don't set a strict cap - you’ll get plenty of photos! All edited, high-resolution images will be delivered via a secure, password-protected online gallery where you can view, share, and download them immediately. Everything is fully retouched before delivery, but if you ever need an extra tweak on a specific photo, I’m always happy to discuss it.

Can we get the unedited or RAW files?

I only deliver fully edited, high-resolution JPEG images. RAW files are essentially unfinished drafts - delivering them would be like a baker handing over unbaked cake batter! Editing is a core part of my artistic style and the experience you hire me for, so I ensure every photo that leaves my hands is beautifully finished and ready to print or share.

Do you use AI or heavily alter/retouch our photos?

Not at all in a way that changes who you are! My philosophy is all about authentic, true-to-life storytelling. All editing - colour grading, exposure, and skin tones - is done carefully by me to give your photos a warm, timeless feel. I use light retouching for temporary distractions (like a sudden blemish, stray background litter or unsightly exit signs), but I never use generative AI to alter your features, change your bodies, or replace backgrounds. You’ll look like you at your absolute best!

Will our photos be shared on social media or your website?

Will our photos be shared on social media or your website?

As a small business, showcasing real weddings on my portfolio and social media is how new couples find me! However, I deeply respect your privacy. If you or any of your guests prefer not to have your images shared online—or if you'd like a completely private gallery option—just let me know before the wedding and I will happily honour your wishes. I also make it a strict rule to never share images of children without explicit permission from their parents or guardians.

Who owns the copyright to the images?

As the photographer, I retain the copyright, but you receive full personal rights to download, print, and share your images with friends and family. If you need images for commercial or advertising purposes (like a branding shoot), just let me know and we can outline specific usage rights!

Do you offer albums or prints?

Yes! I offer high-quality prints and fine art albums through Folio Albums, an incredible UK-based print lab that prioritizes sustainable practices and eco-friendly sourcing. You can easily add albums and other products to your package, or order fine art prints directly through your online gallery. Ask for my Product Menu to check out everything on offer!

Do I have to order prints through you?

Not at all. You have printing rights to all your delivered high-res images, so you're free to print them wherever you like. However, ordering straight from your gallery shop is super easy, guarantees professional colour and print quality, and helps support my small business a little extra!

Do you keep a backup of the images after delivery?

Yes, I store your original image files for up to one year following your shoot. I’ll always send a reminder message before deleting anything so you have time to check your own backups. That said, I always recommend downloading your full gallery in high resolution as soon as you receive it and saving it in a couple of secure places!
